Bruton school for girls raise money for charityThe money was raised at the annual summer ball. The ball took place at the school last June and the theme was ‘a Midsummer Night’s Dream’. An auction on the night helped to raise much of the donation.
Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer, helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need. The charity also assists carers, families and communities.
The cheque was presented to Toby Fielder and Richard Middleton-Snead of Macmillan Cancer Support by Sheree Creighton and Juliet Hunt of the Bruton School for Girls Parent Staff Association.

Headmaster, John Burrough, said “The summer ball is a highlight of the year for parents and the upper sixth leavers. A huge amount of effort goes in to the organisation of the event and it particularly rewarding that such a large sum has been raised for this worthwhile cause.”
