Retiring School Officers

Sally Emerson, outgoing Head Girl at Burgess Hill School for Girls planted a tree in the school grounds as part of a traditional farewell on Friday 8th May 2015.

Senior School students watched the ceremony for retiring Head Girl, Sally who has been an outstanding role model and ambassador for the school.

Sally gave an inspiring and moving tribute speech to each of her school officer colleagues: Harriet Jenner and Florence Williams (Deputy Head Girls); Ingrid Choi (Head of Boarders); Polly Beaumont (House Co-ordinator); Lydia Hayman and Emma Gadd (Sixth Form Events Co-ordinator); Jessica Charles and Lauren Merry (Whole School Events Co-ordinator); Laura Darnley and Hannah McLennan (School Council Leadership); Holly Tasker (House Captain for Burns); Polly Henderson (House Captain for Milton); Imogen Orchard (House Captain for Thomas) and Hollie Spencer (House Captain for Yeats).

Burgess Hill School is set in fourteen acres of grounds within a conservation area and a tree has been planted each year in the school grounds since 1982 by the retiring Head Girl.

Headmistress, Mrs Kathryn Bell, is delighted to announce the new school officers team from September 2015: Nikita Khandwala (Head Girl); Elizabeth Fuller and Alicia Critchley (Deputy Head Girls); Cherry Ho (Head of Boarders); Isabel Widdowson (House Co-ordinator); Beth Howell and Cydney Sturley (Sixth Form Events Co-ordinators); Jessica Scott and Caroline Welford (Charities Co-ordinators); Olivia Puddephatt (House Captain for Burns); Nicole Fung (House Captain for Milton); Chloe Shilton (House Captain for Thomas) and Kristina Marsh (House Captain for Yeats).
