Burgess Hill Netball Team Win Five County Titles in Five Days

The U15 and U16 Netball teams won four major titles in a week. They were the only school to take two Senior Titles Burgess Hill at the Sussex Independent Schools Netball Tournament at Roedean on Saturday 9th March.

The girls showed incredible skill and strength to overcome some tough opposition which included Hurst, Brighton College, Bede’s and Eastbourne College.

A few days later, still buoyant from their previous wins, these teams and the U12 team reached the Sussex Knockout Cup Final held at Burgess Hill School for Girls. The afternoon started well with the U12s fighting hard throughout the four quarters to convincingly beat Cumnor House 19 -12.

The U15s faced Brighton College in the Final. The match proved to be a nail-biting match. The game play was end to end, however the girls were inspired in the fourth quarter and eventually ran out comfortable winners by 20 goals to 16. This win gave the girls confidence to go for the hatrick!

The U16 team showed real passion and desire to overcome a physical Hurst side to take the title winning 55-44.
