A variety of workshops were also attended by the pupils, run by industry professionals. Mrs Nikki Williams, ICT Development Director at Burgess Hill School for Girls said, “Understanding the technological world in which our children are fully immersed is both exciting and challenging for parents.

Burgess Hill School for Girls holds true to its philosophy of enabling the girls to use all new technologies successfully as well as educating them to understand the dangers they can bring.”

“The Embracing Technology event has provided an excellent platform to move forward with our planned developments, particularly in the areas of Google Apps implementation, bring your own device (BYOD) and iPad development.”

Mrs Ann Aughwane, Headmistress at Burgess Hill School for Girls, stated, “The whole idea of this event was to raise awareness about how the world of technology is changing and I am thrilled that this is what we have managed to do.”
