Knowles Tooth Centre reap a Harvest.

Junior Pupils at Burgess Hill School for Girls presented their Harvest Festival food to a local Children’s Centre.

The pupils all donated tins and jars of food, cereals and packets of dried foods, drinks and household items for a Harvest assembly.

David Dickson from the Knowles Tooth Centre in Hurstpierpoint spoke to the school girls about how the centre cares for poorly children and their families, and how they are treated to short breaks and holidays which they would otherwise not be able to go on. Mr Dickson thanked the girls for their generous donations and told them how they would be used at the centre.

Year 6 pupils helped to load up the school minibuses which were used to deliver the donations to the Centre.

Burgess Hill School are now collecting old mobile phones for Knowles Tooth, to be recycled and used to raise more funds for family support work.

The Knowles Tooth Centre is located in the countryside of Hurstpierpoint and provides accommodation for eleven families with ill children. The Centre can also be hired by agencies and organised groups for short breaks and holidays. For more information visit www.familysupportwork.org.uk/knowles-tooth-centre
