The trip included visits to the Musée d’Orsay, the Pompidou Centre, the Louvre and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, all of which allowed the creative talents of many artists and designers to be observed at first hand. The scale of many of the pieces of art cannot really be appreciated through books, so the girls were able to analyse and study the style of some of the famous names in great detail.

One of the many highlights of the visit was the prestigious fashion show at the Galeries Lafayettes, followed by some serious retail therapy on the seven floors of Parisian fashions. Although time was limited no trip to Paris would be complete without a visit to Notre Dame, the district of Montmartre and, of course, the Eiffel Tower.

While everyone wished that the trip could have been a little longer, the girls felt that they had tasted the French culture and were eager to develop their own projects with renewed vigour and enthusiasm.
