Burgess Hill Team To Represent Sussex in Cross Country

The Burgess Hill School for Girls’ Intermediate Cross Country team will be representing Sussex in the Regional round of the National Schools’ Cross Country Competition after finishing second place in the County round. Burgess Hill Girls School CrossCountryThe County qualifying event took place on Wednesday 3rd October at Bishop Luffa School in Chichester.

The Intermediate team consisted of six runners; Rebecca Chee (3rd place), Georgie Little (5th place), Erin Bateman (11th place), Tilly Loughton (12th place), Natasha Hoile (15th place) and Hannah Westwood (16th place).

The Burgess Hill School for Girls’ Junior team also competed in the Junior race which included 70 young runners. The team finished in 5th place overall, with all the girls being placed individually within the top half, and team member Emma Shilton, 12, was placed 8th place in her race.
