PUPILS at Seaford College Preparatory School helped to raise more than £350 by taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Staff and children – with a little help from their parents – baked a variety of cakes for sale in the school’s new ‘meet and mingle’ coffee bar, where parents lent their support to the annual fund-raising event.

The coffee bar, recently created on a mezzanine floor above the Seaford College Sports Hall, has been designed as an area for parents to meet and chat before and after dropping off their children for school.
But the Macmillan event brought in the biggest number to date, with a range of tasty treats to tempt!

It was also an opportunity for the new Prep School Headmaster Sebastian Rees to meet some of the parents in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

Mr Rees said: “We teach our students the importance of charity work and fund-raising from an early age and this was a magnificent sum to raise towards the valuable work of Macmillan Cancer Support.”
