Caterham School music scholarMan Yuet Fung, who is a 12 years old Second Year pupil at Caterham School, has been awarded a Trinity Guildhall Diploma for his performance with the violin. The Diploma standard of performance is equivalent to the performance component of the first year in a full-time undergraduate course at a conservatoire or other higher education establishment.

Headmaster Julian Thomas said: ’This is an amazing achievement for someone so young. I am delighted for him. Although Man Yuet is not the first pupil at Caterham School to be awarded the Diploma he is certainly the youngest. He joins an impressive list of pupils who have developed their music skills whilst at Caterham and received offers from the Royal Academy of Music or Cambridge.’
