Caterham boys picked for county hockey teamsHead of Hockey, Andy Patterson commented: ‘I am delighted with the progress these players have made. I am sure that it is no coincidence that they are all dedicated to their sport and put in hours of practise to reach this level of performance.’

Headmaster Julian Thomas said: ‘The staff and boys having been working extremely hard so I am delighted that their efforts have been rewarded in this way. The boys have been playing superbly this year and thoroughly deserve their call up to the county squads. We have two former international players on our staff, Andy Patterson and Lorne Barnard, who, together with the other coaches, have encouraged the boys to develop their fitness and skills: the senior squads have five training sessions per week, including early morning fitness. The result has been that, so far, in the league matches, school teams have played 33, won 24, drawn 5 and only lost 4.’
