Charterhouse is again celebrating an excellent set of examination results with 93% of Cambridge Pre-U examinations taken awarded Distinctions or Merits (A*- B grade in the A level equivalent). Sixty-six pupils achieved Distinctions (or A* / A grade in the A level equivalent) in all their subjects, while nineteen achieved the equivalent of A level A* grades in all their subjects.
The IB Diploma Programme results were also extremely strong: almost three-quarters of grades awarded were either 6s or 7s (a 7 being the highest) and just over 50% of the cohort achieved 38 points or more (typically seen as the minimum score for Oxbridge entry).
Delighted pupils from both courses of study are now celebrating securing their university places, including not only fifteen pupils who have achieved their offers for Oxbridge entry, but also eleven pupils who have secured offers to leading US universities, such as University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), University of Virginia and Yale.
