Cheltenham Ladies CollegeA cast of girls from the Cheltenham Ladies’ College will take centre stage during a run of shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

A dozen pupils have been rehearsing for the double bill production of The Snow Cabinet and The Way to Keep Him ahead of 5 performances at the Gryphon venue at the Point Hotel.

College Director of Drama Mark Smith has produced two contrasting productions for what will be an inspiring experience for the sixth formers.

Mr Smith said: “College has a strong tradition in the arts and the annual trip to the festival has become a fulfilling challenge for the girls who take part. Performing in the festival environment is a very empowering experience and the girls will be encouraged to work independently to promote the show. This tour will nurture creativity and confidence in the girls, as well as being a lot of fun.”

The Snow Cabinet blends old tales from Eastern Europe with new stories of cunning, flight and brave girls to enchant adults and children alike.

The Way to Keep Him is an 18th century afterpiece.

The girls’ first show is on Tuesday 20th August and the run will continue until Saturday 24th.
Tickets can be purchased from the Edinburgh Fringe Box Office www.edfringe.com.
