Cobham Hall staff and pupils have been thanked for donating their hair to the Little Princess Trust charity.

The organisation uses the hair donated to create wigs for children with cancer and awarded 11 girls and members of staff with certificates following their contributions.

Spanish teacher and Round Square representative Jessica Caro Quintana saw a leaflet in a hairdressing salon back in September and set the challenge. It became more meaningful and personal to her following her sister and former Cobham Hall teacher, Aida’s, diagnosis of a brain tumour and subsequently shaved her head for surgery, donating her hair too.

Both former and current pupils undertook the challenge, with the whole school also donating £500 to cover the cost of making one wig. Jessica expects more girls to participate, with many planning to grow their hair longer to be able to contribute the required length.
