Stover school pupils visited the Contemporary Craft Fair at Bovey Tracey which is a national showcase for excellence in design making. Having the fair on our doorstep is an opportunity that could not be missed. Our GCSE students from Art and Graphics benefited from experimenting with artefacts from 165 of the Uks finest designers. Stover pupils were inspired by many of the crafts including textiles, ceramics, glassware, bugs – including Tarantulas, printing and collage. The craft tent enabled Stover pupils to create crafts as Chinese as candle dipping, rag rugging and screen printing. All this inspiration from the Fair will make a colourful impact to their new project on ‘Structures’.
