Our U13 cricket team have continued their outstanding season by progressing to the semi-final of the Devon Cup with a convincing win over South Dartmoor.

Kelly bowled first and made a promising start to the match. From the first over, pressure was put on the South Dartmoor team; Lachlan Fulton and Callum Worth both helped put Kelly in a strong position.

Unrelenting pressure from the Kelleians meant that before long, South Dartmoor were five wickets down.

Good bowling from Richard Bennett, Jacob Staig, Benjamin Dunlop and Harry Turner meant that South Dartmoor’s total of 103 was a very achievable target for the home team.

However, Kelly’s time in bat did not all go to plan as Tristan Hampden-Smith was run out in the first over. The batting partnership of Lachlan Fulton and Callum Worth proved strong enough to steady the ship for Kelly though.

Their combined total amounted to 95 runs with Lachlan scoring 30 and Callum scoring a highly impressive 59. This resolute pairing proved unstoppable, securing the victory for Kelly College.
