Culford School pupils Beth Keswick (14) and Nella Walters (13) are due to make their television debut after being 
selected to compete in the English Schools Track and Field Championships in Birmingham on 5/6 July, which will be broadcast on Sky Sports Three.
The Track and Field Championships is the highest level competition that school age athletes can be selected for and selections can be made from within any school or club in Great Britain.
Bury St Edmunds based Nella will be competing in the 1500m after setting a new competition record in the U14 1500m event at the Eastern Region Prep School event earlier this month, with an extremely fast time of 4 minutes 54 seconds. Fourteen year old Beth who lives in Badwell Ash will be competing in the high jump.
Elizabeth Long, Teacher of PE, commented “The girls have achieved this selection through excellent individual performances in competitions so far this year. It is a fantastic achievement for them both and is testament to their consistent hard work.
I am really pleased that they have been recognised in this way and are such positive role models to others in the school”.
