Culford School is celebrating an outstanding set of A Level results. 76% of all grades were at A*- B level and 87% were A*- C. Remarkably, more than half of all grades were at A* or A. The overall pass rates were as follows:

24% A* grades
53% A* and A grades together
76% A* to B grades
87% A* to C grades
99% A* to E grades

Dr John Guntrip, Deputy Head, commented: “This year we have achieved our best ever A2 results, with record numbers of top grades. There have been a whole host of outstanding individual performances, up to and including five A* grades. Many pupils have secured top university places and four pupils have been successful in achieving entry to Oxford and Cambridge.

Our AS statistics are also excellent, which bodes well for next year’s set of A2 results”.

Headmaster, Julian Johnson-Munday said, “I am absolutely delighted with the number of top grades achieved, and particularly with the fact that more than half of our pupils’ grades were at A* or A. Our stretch and challenge ethos is certainly pushing pupils to even greater heights year on year. This year’s remarkable results illustrate how much hard work pupils and teachers put into preparing for these examinations”.
