The 2013 Basketball season has been an exceptional season. A strong fixture list including Canford, Marlborough Dauntseys BasketballCollege, Bradfield College and Wycliffe looked set to test the best team Dauntsey’s has fielded since the start of First team basketball in 1999.

After a very convincing win in their first match over Canford, the team faced the tough challenge of a towering Wycliffe team for their second match.

They managed to fight back from a 20 point deficit at half time to draw the game 61 points all.

This comeback set the standard for the rest of the season and led to a rampage of results, Dauntsey’s averaging 69 points a game, the opposition averaging 42.

The leadership of Angus Wong, combined with the scoring prowess of Samson Hung and Victor Cheng, gave all opposition a near impossible task in defence. Long range shooting has been the key to the success of the team this season, and the work ethic from all players has ensured there were plenty of options to exploit this.
