Dauntsey's School Jolie Brise Sailing TripA group of Upper Sixth art students from Dauntsey’s has just returned from an art trip on board the Jolie Brise, the School’s tall ship.  The ship completed a round trip to Cowes on the Isle of Wight, setting sail from the Hamble.

Victoria Rose, Head of Art, Dauntsey’s School said:

“This was the first in a series of al fresco drawing sessions organised by the art department.  The day was a great success; everyone found plenty of inspiration from our historic tall ship, as well as enjoying a memorable day of sailing.”

After a long summer season Jolie Brise is now back in her home port of the Hamble. More than 200 pupils have taken the opportunity to experience life aboard Dauntsey’s tall ship this year, sailing almost 9,000 nautical miles and visiting 30 different ports throughout Norway, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, France and the UK.
