Dauntsey's School Brenscombe Activity Day
First Form pupil from Dauntsey’s School learns the ropes during an adventure trip to Dorset

First Form pupils from Dauntsey’s School have just returned from an exciting overnight trip to Brenscombe Outdoor Centre near Corfe Castle in Dorset.  The group, made up of 79 pupils who have joined Dauntsey’s from 39 different schools, enjoyed an action-packed stay which included night orienteering, archery, pioneering and air-rifle shooting.

Team-building is a key objective of the trip and the pupils work together to complete a challenging high and low ropes course as well as an exercise which involves using large poles and rope to construct a flag-pole.

Eleni Conidaris, Head of the Lower School at Dauntsey’s School, said;

“This trip is always a highlight for pupils in the First Form.  The programme is designed to be fun as well as adventurous and it really helps the pupils to get to know each other in a relaxed environment.  Everyone returned buoyant with new friends and a real sense of achievement.”
