Plymouth College athlete, Pierce Widdecombe, 16, has clinched the top spots in both the U18s’ and Open Men’s events at the Redland Tennis Open in Bristol. Seeded no.1 and no.2 respectively, the talented tennis player claimed the titles after four days of long matches.
Pierce beat Tom Batchelor in the U18s’ final and Matthew Story in the Men’s final to claim his second senior grade 3 tournament win. Last year Pierce won the Tennis Solutions Open Masters.
