The Downside School Ten Tors team set off for Dartmoor on Friday. Their commitment over the last 3 months during Downside Schooltheir training culminated in an extremely good performance over 35 miles, coming in 18th out of 400.

Downside historically always do well at the Ten Tors Challenge and this year was no exception.

The weather was testing with windy low visibility, persistent rain and a fast flowing river at one point.

The six boys set off at 7am on Saturday morning, finishing that day at 7pm.

On Sunday it was off again at 6am finishing at 11.30am in time for lunch. Gruelling and tiring but the goal achieved. Well done to Felix, George, Paco, Vladimir, Harry and Xavier.

Our thanks to Mr David Pollard, Mr Neil Barrett, Mr Austin Woodin and Mrs Kirsty Gill who have played such a major role in supporting the team throughout the whole training period and those members of staff and parents who came out to support the boys over the weekend. Encouragement is always very welcome.
