Pupils from Dragon School have recently taken part in their termly Outdoor Learning Day.

The theme of the day for Year 2 was ‘Take One Totem Pole’ and saw the children paint their own poles and build native North American houses from natural materials, with each individual given a role such as architect, builder or resource manager. They demonstrated exceptional communication and design skills to build impressive structures. The afternoon consisted of lacrosse and the forgotten sport of double ball, with the day finishing with a traditional gathering and dance.

Year 3 had their outdoor experience a couple of days later and explored body movement and musical tempo in the morning. The afternoon saw a fun-packed afternoon filled with games, where the pupils showcased the Dragon values of cooperation, curiosity and teamwork.
