LORETTO School’s Director of Rugby, Danny Rossouw’s outstanding contribution to youth Rugby coaching had been recognised by the Scottish Rugby Union with his appointment as the Edinburgh Under 17/Under 18 selector. His roll will be supporting the Scotland Under 17 and Under 18 coaching team with player identification and selection.
He has also been selected for the East Coaching Talent Programme, which is a coach development programme targeting top club and performance-focussed coaches.
Danny will continue in his position as Director of Rugby at Loretto School, which has seen dramatic improvements at all ages as a result of his dynamic leadership. Since taking up the mantle, Danny has injected fresh enthusiasm and success into Loretto Rugby, with many notable victories, including a convincing won over local Edinburgh rivals, Fettes.
Danny commented, “I am delighted to have been asked to become a regional selector and to be part of the East Coaching Talent programme. A real passion for the game, intense training and one hundred per cent effort is what makes a team successful. The future of Scottish Rugby is bright and is to be nurtured at grassroots level. I am only too happy to be a part of this.”
