Farlington School’s Gemma Cumber swam in an open water race on Saturday 13th June in the River Arun in Littlehampton. The race was over the Iron Man distance of 3.8km. Gemma, 14, was the youngest swimmer in the event of over 400 competitors.
Gemma won the Youth Section in a time of 43.2 minutes, came 5th overall in the Ladies Section and 15th overall for the entire race including the men.
