Farlington School Year 11s celebrate achievements

Three Year 11 students at Farlington School have been celebrating their recent achievements.

Sahara Coles reached the final of the Discover ARTiculation Challenge competition, which involved a three minute presentation on a piece of artwork. All five of the school’s entries were filmed and uploaded, with the girls delivering their presentations in a school assembly. Sahara will now speak at the ARTiculating Art and Culture Day for KS4 students at the University of Leeds, where she will give an extended version of her presentation in the hopes of winning the competition.

Juliet Webber, 15, has published her first novel titled ‘Demon Slayer’. She started writing it when she was 12 having been inspired by the works of by Michelle Paver and J. R. R. Tolkien.

Finally, Lottie Suckling, recently won the National U18’s RFU final with her team, Pulborough. After an unbeaten season, the team won 36-7 against Newark at the Ealing Trailfinders stadium.
