Felsted School’s royal wedding-themed fete has raised over the £2,500 for charity.

Activities included ‘pin the tail on the Corgi’, face painting and cake stalls, with all proceeds going to the children’s chosen charity, Help for Heroes. The school’s Senior Cadets made a special appearance, arranging a challenging assault course for the children to tackle. A British Army Apache helicopter also flew in to support the activities, bringing the children’s transport topic alive and exciting the attendees.

Mrs Jacqueline Atkins, head of Felsted Pre-Prep, commented: “We have community members who have served or continue to serve in the armed forces, which brought a real meaning to the event. The arrival of an Apache helicopter from 4 Regiment AAC was an incredibly special experience for our children, but our main aim was to raise as much as we could for such a worthwhile cause.”
