Fencing Success for Bromsgrove School

Bromsgrove School FENCING successPupils from Bromsgrove School have qualified to represent the West Midlands at Fencing in the British Youth Championships National Age Group Finals.

On Sunday 29th January the pupils travelled to the West Midlands Age Group Epee Competition held at Packwood Hough School in Shropshire.

Matthew Lynch finished third in the under 16 boys’ epee and Elizabeth Stone finished third in the under 18 girls’ epee, while Tom Lynch finished sixth in the under 14 boys’ epee (in a field of 29). Josh Gilbert (aged 12) a Preparatory School pupil, finished fifth in the under 14 boys’ epee.

The British Youth Championships take place at the England Institute of Sport on May Day weekend.
