Despite losing in the next round to formidable reigning champions, Whitgift School, the team have had a phenomenal season winning 17 out of 18 competitive matches. Boasting an England U18 player in Henry Slade, who achieved great acclaim for his performance in a recent England match against Italy, the 1st XV were Rugby World’s ‘Team of the Month’ in January and reached the top 3 in the national schools’ rugby league.
The season ended on a massive high with a convincing 39-3 win over Kelly College in the final of the U18 Devon Cup.
