Foremarke_Hall_NCO_Music_successDuring the Easter holidays four pupils from Foremarke Hall, Repton Preparatory School, had the privilege of performing with the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain Under 13 Section.

Places in the premier symphony orchestra for children had been offered to the four young musicians following a rigorous audition process.

Alistair Westwood [Double Bass], Anastacia Peters [Trumpet], Rika Canaway (French Horn) and  Jasmine Leavesley [Cello] have now returned full of stories of what proved to be an incredible experience, having played with the best of the musical talent from all over the country.

Director of Music at Foremarke Hall, Mrs Susan Bloor, travelled to see the performance which took place in the Anvil Concert Hall in Basingstoke.  She commented: “The orchestra’s standard of performance was breath taking and it was absolutely wonderful to see our four musicians playing with such confidence and clearly thoroughly enjoying the experience. “

The programme included Wagner’s Overture to The Flying Dutchman and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite.
