FOREMARKE HALL GRAND SETTING FOR YOUNG MUSICIANS

Thirty-one young musicians from Foremarke Hall, Repton’s prep school, are to present a concert in the wonderful Repton Schoolsetting of Chatsworth House, historic Derbyshire home to Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.

The magnificent Painted Hall is to be used on Friday, June 21st for the performance, which will include a mixture of instrumental and choral pieces.

The concert is being staged in association with the Lord’s Taverners and proceeds will be donated to their charity. The Lord's Taverners is the official charity for recreational cricket and the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity.

Richard Merriman, Headmaster at Foremarke Hall, played cricket for Derbyshire’s 2nd XI in the 1980s and is a member of the East Midlands Region.

Doors to the Chatsworth House concert will open at 6pm with the performance starting at 7pm. It will be followed by wine and canapés in the wonderful setting.

Commenting, Mr Merriman said: “This will be a lovely evening with music by our extremely talented young musicians, led by our Director of Music Susan Bloor, in a truly wonderful setting. We hope people will come along and support them and the worthy cause.”
