Seven pupils from Foremarke Hall have been awarded places in prestigious choirs and orchestras.

Megan and Alice have places in the U13 section of the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain and will play the oboe and double bass respectively, while Sophia will play the cello in the U12 section. Alice has also been offered a place in the National Children’s Chamber Orchestra.

Charlie and Hatti will join the National Children’s Choir and attend two courses in the year ahead, to develop their vocal techniques and gain performance experience.

Double Bass player Victoria has been given a place in the U13 Associate Regional Orchestra and Harriet will play the viola in the U12 section.

Susan Bloor, director of music at Foremarke Hall, said: “These pupils all deserve congratulations for being accepted into the country’s top organisations for young musicians. Their successes are testament to their hard work, to our outstanding tutors and to the excellent facilities we have in The Charles Jennens Music School at Foremarke Hall.”
