Foremarke Hall Grease ProductionGrease definitely is the word at Foremarke Hall, Repton’s Preparatory School, as the ever-popular musical was this year’s main theatrical production.

Around 100 pupils from Years 7 and 8 were auditioned to identify a 60-strong cast, which added to the pupils who served as crew and worked backstage meant well over 70 were involved in bringing this huge show to the stage in Foremarke’s purpose-built theatre.

Some of the dance routines were among the most challenging ever performed on the Foremarke stage and the principal players gave up many hours of their free time to perfect their roles and showcase their acting and singing talents to packed houses over four nights.

Despite the challenges of rehearsing and perfecting such an ambitious production as this, Director Peter Waters commented: “The cast rose to the occasion magnificently and displayed their individual talents to the full. The quality of solo performances was magnificent. There is no end to the talent of children here at Foremarke Hall.”
