James Smith, formerly of Taunton School, has organised The Great British Job Search, a three day online event for anyone whose job has been affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

The event, which takes place 11-13th November, offers a uniquely holistic approach to the job hunting process which recognises the additional challenges of looking for a new role during the current pandemic. Topics covered will range from confidence and managing anxiety to curating your CV and changing careers. There will be talks from notable figures including eminent sleep expert Kathryn Pinkham, world-renowned anxiety coach Dr Jodie Lowinger and former Olympic athlete Derek Redmond.

James, who left Taunton School in 1998, says: “The numbers around unemployment are scary but the worst part is that behind every number is a real person, a person that needs real help. The Great British Job Search aims to do exactly that; to help people come to terms with unemployment, give them access to ways to cope and hopefully rebuild their future.”

The Great British Job Search has been endorsed by industry leaders including Lord Alan Sugar, star of The Apprentice, who tweeted his support.
