After a long afternoon of training with Lucy and Ellen, the girls were looking forward to the game and applying all frensham heights netballthey had learnt. With a mixed team, including two Year 9s, the girls took to the court apprehensive of their ability.

After a close first quarter, the teams were all square on 5-5. With Naomi moving into circle defence, the team took to the court once more.

Some impressive shooting from Gigi and Gabbie saw us up the pressure on Alton, although a slight lapse in concentration allowed them to sneak level again, 11-11 at half time.

The third and fourth quarter saw our girls tire and mistakes were made and Alton took full advantage. Their very accurate Goal Attack allowed them to take the lead in the third quarter 15-19 but Frensham came back fighting in the fourth quarter.

Increasing our consistency when passing down the court and moving Millie against a very strong Goal Defence, the girls did all they could but could not quite make up the deficit, with the game ending 20-23.

The girls should be very proud of their efforts and determination. A big thank you to Lizzie and Rosie (both Year 9) for their great play.

Player of the match goes to Naomi for never giving up and showing her versatility and hunger to win.

Well done girls!!
