Last weekend saw the College’s full boarders get together for a celebratory BBQ party and take part in an action-packed visit to a local theme park.

Boarding co-ordinator, Inga Page, helped boarders to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday on Saturday with a themed BBQ, complete with patriotic decorations, in the quad and the Sixth Form Centre.

The pupils enjoyed a festive atmosphere with tasty food and good music and in true English style, the sun peeped through the clouds for long enough to allow then to play ball games and eat ice creams.

On Sunday, junior boarders enjoyed a fun day at Thorpe Park in Chertsey. Despite early morning unsettled weather, once the group arrived the clouds cleared and they were able to race around the theme park seeking out the most thrilling rides, with little or no queues.

“The pupils were very successful at winning prizes on basketball hoops and hooking ducks, so we ended up bringing home over-sized doughnuts, bananas and monkeys,” said Inga Page.
