Following on from the success of Tuesday’s A-Level results, Sedbergh is once again celebrating as we congratulate all those who received their GCSE results today.

We are pleased to report another fantastic set of results for this year’s cohort. With 97% of our pupils earning grades 9-4. On average, each pupil achieved 9 passes (grade 4 or above).

Sedbergh School Headmaster, Mr Dan Harrison, has said; “These are a fantastic set of results from a year group who have excelled in all areas in the last 12 months. The pupils themselves should be very proud, and they now have a fantastic foundation on which they can build on in the Sixth Form starting in September.”

As well as the importance of today’s results, we are also delighted to see an increase in our value-added score, from 0.78 to 1.21.

Top performers for this year’s cohort were Joseph Nolan and Isabella Dowling, who both received 11 grade 9’s. Closely followed by Kiera Butler and Rosemary Wilson, who earned 9 grade 9’s and 1 grade 8 each. Local pupils Sophia Engel, Ben Starling and Katie Wood also enjoyed success, achieving grades 8 and 9.
