George Munsey, Upper Sixth, is on a cricket exchange at The Southport School, Queensland (TSS) in Australia.
Here is an extract from one of his recent emails to School…"The cricket here is amazing and I am really enjoying it. I'm beginning to get into the swing and my play is improving. Played my first game last Saturday and started strong and batted for around an hour and only scored 22 runs and got run out. The competition is so much better over here than any school I have seen in the UK. They get the 1st squad up most mornings and start training at 6.30-8 and then on Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays they also train in the afternoons for around 3 hours. At School we have a 16 year- old 6ft 9 fast opening bowler who plays for North Australia and bowls at around 80-85mph. He gets an amazing bounce. I think I can learn a few tricks from these guys!"
