On Saturday, Godolphin’s Douglas House welcomed guests from the Salisbury branch of the Alzheimer’s Godolphin tea partySociety for an afternoon of chat, entertainment and tea.

We had a lovely time, catching up with old friends and reminiscing about the ‘good old days!’ Olivia Sparkhall, Head of Douglas House, said, ‘I was so impressed with how well the girls entertained our guests. There was a happy buzz in the library all afternoon with plenty of laughter and shared enjoyment in the tea party.’

The girls provided superb entertainment with performances on the piano, flute and violin, an atmospheric performance on the bamboo flute given by one of our international students, some poetry and even a short story especially written by one of our talented girls.

A delicious tea was served and this was followed by a sing-song and a presentation of £250 which had been raised by the girls over the year to help the Alzheimer’s Society to continue their work.
