Gold for pentathlete in GB International

GB International PentathlonPlymouth College pentathlete, Myles Pillage, 18, has topped the podium in this year’s GB Youth International in Solihull.

Head Boy, Myles, dominated the men’s competition finishing 1st in the fence with 21 victories, before being one of only two athletes to break the two minute barrier in the swimming pool. Competing for Great Britain, he went into the combined event with a 42 second lead and ran and shot his way to a convincing win. Myles also picked up a team silver.

Fellow pentathlete, Anne Kleidon, 16, competing for Germany, also came away with team silver. She finished in 6th place.  Ed Clark, 17, competed for Great Britain, finishing in 26th place.

The event saw sixty athletes from ten nations compete. As well as representing countries from across Europe, some competitors travelled from as far as Egypt and the USA to take part in the Pentathlon GB-hosted competition.
