Great GCSE results from Rydal Penrhos

Rydal Penrhos GCSE resultsYear 11 pupils at Rydal Penrhos School are celebrating their GCSE results, with some excellent individual and subject achievements. The results reflect the hard work that the year group have put into their exams, and the year group scored an average of over 8½ A*-C passes.

Lydia Davidson achieved a clean sheet of 10 A*s, and Hannah Davies, Sophie Cashell, Alexander Farnell and Sara Popa scored all A*s and As. Laurie Brummitt and Jingyi Xie also scored 20 As and A*s between them, a total of 18 pupils achieved at least seven A* or A grades each.

A good number of subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Drama, English, Physics, Spanish and Welsh achieved a 100% pass rate from A*-C.

Rydal Penrhos GCSE successThe Headmaster, Patrick Lee-Browne reflected on the pupils’ achievements: “GCSEs are a very important step on the road towards higher education, and our pupils have achieved really well again this year. They and their families are to be congratulated on the hard work that they devoted to preparing for their exams, and thanks too to their teachers for their part in the final results. Our Year 11 pupils are now ready to take on the challenge and opportunity of the Sixth form, and I look forward to watching their development and academic progress over the next two years.”
