St Marys CalneHeadmistress Dr Felicia Kirk was delighted to welcome Charlotte Vere, Executive Director of The Girls’ Schools Association (GSA), to St Mary’s.

St Mary’s is a member of the GSA and a strong supporter of its aims, so Ms Vere was keen to collaborate with Dr Kirk with regards to the future direction and vision of the GSA, as well as working closely with all of its member schools.

The GSA, which was established in 1974, represents independent girls’ schools in the UK.

The organisation promotes the benefits of single-sex education for girls, as well as informing and influencing national education debate.

Dr Kirk is extremely passionate about girls’ education and also sits on the panel of experts for the GSA’s website, ‘My Daughter.’

St Mary’s looks forward to continuing its excellent working relationship with the GSA and supporting them in its aims.
