Hampshire Collegiate School employee Tom Stevens is celebrating after coming fourth in the Mersey Tunnel 10k, 
Liverpool Half Marathon on Sunday 09 June 2013.
Tom completed the race in 15 minutes 47 seconds to come fourth out of 3,200 competitors (with 2,852 runners finishing the race).
Tom, 22, works as in the maintenance team at HCS and can sometimes be seen training in his lunch break around the school’s 130 acre campus.
“It was a good feeling to come fourth. I knew I was doing well at 5k and then I met a massive hill which slowed me down.” said Tom.
Tom belongs to Eastleigh Running club and only started running in 2011. Tom’s next race is on June 18 when he will be running a 5k track race in Bristol.
