Girls and staff are thrilled by a 51% increase in the number of A*s awarded at GCSE at HLC.  Over 1 in 4 exams taken attained this top grade (28%), 55% achieving A*-A and 79% awarded A*-B.  Following the trend of last week’s A level results these achievements reflect the talent and enthusiasm of both pupils and teachers at HLC.

Principal Sylvia Brett said: ‘The girls have all worked incredibly hard and each should be exceptionally proud of what they have achieved.  As a community we all strive to be the best we can be and these results reflect this ethos.

Studying at HLC typically adds at least one grade to the value of estimated exam results in every subject and I therefore take this opportunity to thank my colleagues for all they do to inspire and nurture our girls.’

Head of Middle School, Mrs Fran Irvine, said ‘I am delighted with these fantastic results.  They are a testament to the girls’ hard work and commitment to their studies.’
