Bromsgrove School is celebrating the news that three of its former pupils have been named in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Mr. Robert Dowler, who attended the School between 1958 and 1963, has been awarded an MBE for services to the Voluntary Sector, while OBEs have been awarded to Mrs. Helen Ingle and Dr. Stephen Marsh-Smith.

Helen (nee Braithwaite) attended Bromsgrove between 1979 and 1984 and now works as Resilience Manager in the Government Office for the West Midlands, for which she has been honoured. Helen’s husband Philip is also a former pupil of Bromsgrove School (1980 – 1985).

Stephen was at the School between 1963 and 1968, at the same time as former Chairman of Governors Matthew Horton. Stephen is a dental surgeon and has been honoured for services to the Rivers Wye and Usk.

Bromsgrove School is always thrilled to hear news about our former pupils and staff. If you have any stories you would like to share, please contact Alumni Coordinator Megan Griffiths (mgriffiths@bromsgrove-school.co.uk).
