A successful exeat weekend!

Whilst most Hazlegrove pupils and staff were enjoying a gloriously sunny exeat weekend, it was very much business as usual for three groups of pupils and staff:

• The U13 girls’ hockey team added to the success they have already had this season by winning the All Hallows Hockey Tournament.

• The U11 boys’ rugby team spent the day at the Monkton Super 12s rugby tournament and returned with the Matt Perry Cup – an honour which is awarded by the referees for the team which they felt played with the best spirit, showing sportsmanship and competitiveness in equal measure.

• A group of Year 7 pupils were joint winners of the Taunton School Challenge. The children spent the day pitting their wits to complete an array of challenges, both mental and physical, to emerge as joint winners of the U12 section.

A successful weekend all round! Well done to all those concerned and a special thank you to all the staff who gave up their exeat weekends to make participation in these events possible.

“This commitment of staff and pupils just goes to underline that being at Hazlegrove is not just about going to school, it is more a way of life” says Headmaster Richard Fenwick.
