Old Hazlegrovian, Peter Wilson, makes a surprise visit to Hazlegrove with his gold medal
Staff and pupils at Hazlegrove were very excited to receive a surprise visit from Peter Wilson, Olympic Champion and past pupil.
Peter first spoke to all the pupils in pre-prep and gave them all a chance to hold his gold medal.
The prep school pupils did not know why they had been asked to assemble in the Theatre but as soon as Peter walked in, he was greeted with spontaneous applause!
Peter then spoke to the prep school pupils for half an hour, telling them this story of his Olympic journey and how, for him, it had all started when he was a pupil at Hazlegrove. He was inspirational!
