The schools had worked with the Fleet Air Arm Museum on this project to celebrate 30 years since the liberation of the Falkland Islands. Earlier this year, by way of research for the big book, Hazlegrove Year 4 children had a week, of presentations, Skype calls and interviews, where they were able to listen, talk to and question people who were all connected somehow to the Falkland Islands.

The super-sized books had been collected from Hazlegrove by Mike Cole who delivered them to the Port Stanley children in person before embarking on his yomp from Port San Carlos to Stanley in aid of the Royal Marines Charitable Trust.

Copies of the books will be on display both in the Falklands Museum and the Fleet Air Arm Museum as part of their respective Falklands 30 exhibitions.
