As part of a celebration for the new Lab 4, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to invite Dr George McGavin to 
give a lecture based on ‘the ends of the earth’.
Dr McGavin is a zoologist whose specialism is bugs. He was in school in December to describe to Upper Fifth girls the highs and lows of his expeditions, from the discovery of new species to the hours spent waiting for organisms to ‘do something’.
Student Noa said: “I was so fortunate to be able to hear Dr McGavin talk. This is exactly what I want to do when I leave Headington. He was inspiring.”
