Bromsgrove School’s International Baccalaureate results are once again outstanding. Pupils scored on average 38 points, with a third scoring 40 points or more, 45 being the highest possible score.  This average places Bromsgrove School amongst the very top IB schools in the country. Every student entered gained their diploma and half received formal recognition of their bilingualism. The average candidate score is the equivalent of 4 A* grades at A Level.

Local pupil Niall Simmons scored a very impressive 43 points, he will now go on to study Medicine at UCL.

Academic Deputy Peter Ruben said that he is bowled over by the pupils’ achievement and the School’s Director of the IB, Dr Michael Thompson, added ‘We are absolutely delighted by our average of 38 points. This is a demanding course and students and their teachers have once again excelled.’

Meanwhile, Bromsgrove students who studied for a BTEC qualification in Sport achieved 34 Distinction* grades (equal to an A* at A level) and 9 Distinction grades (equal to an A grade at A level) between them.

Bromsgrove School now eagerly awaits the results of A levels in August.
